Quarantine Memories: Returns to a Lockdown is a limited edition book (500 copies) that covers an extensive body of work produced by the Musician, Artist and Psychologist Maureen Corvalán, over the course of two years (2020-2021) of restrictions and sanitary confinements. It is a visual story that tells of the experience suffered in a pandemic, the pandemic of confinement in the image of our times, as well as the unbearable monotony of our loneliness confined to the limits of our narcissism. If the physical distance during the quarantines was so unbearable, in large part this happened due to the closure of the encounter with others, the obstruction of the circulation of desire, which left us alone in front of ourselves. This artist's book is an inspiring and evocative record, which allows us to think again and reflect on the place and significance of the objects, images and materials found by the artist in her confinement and other confinements of hers. Thus endorsing the exclusion of the annoying and not so good story, presenting the remains of it in action.
