Maureen Corvalán is a visual artist, Double Bass player and Chilean psychologist. Her work focuses on the limits of representation in the dimensions of the abstract and the status of the object. It is her dialogues with the internal and the external, between the intimate and the private, the familiar and the everyday that allow for an research that explores various supports and materials such as: paint, synthetic enamel, threads, needles, nails, buttons, textiles, mirrors, canvas, glass, wood, paper. In this sense, the material is presented in a particular way, emphasizing narratives based on the records of the footprint, the search for three-dimensionality, color and shape.
